Payment security
Why is there no https//... address on the URL bar?
  • The Frogbus.com payment procedure is secure. The reason you don’t see an https://…. address in the URL bar is that our booking engine and subsequent payment gateway are in an “i-frame” embedded in our site. We have done this to ensure a simple booking process with no confusing pop-up frames or transfer to external websites. Unfortunately only the main page information is displayed in the URL bar and where the SSL padlock would normally be.
  • When you click “proceed with payment” on the final page of our booking engine look quickly at the bottom left-hand corner of the Crédit Agricole payment page as it loads. You will see the URL as the “i-frame” is loading. It begins with https://tpeweb.paybox.com/......... (paybox is one of Crédit Agricole’s payment gateways). Before you enter your card details, right-click on the “i-frame” and select “properties”. You will see that the page is secure. You can also click on the ssl security information button to verify this.

3D secure payment

  • For extra security, some banks now use 3D secure payment. 3-D Secure allows better authentication of the payment card holder by their card issuer when they are making purchases online from a merchant's web site.  Please check with your bank to see what 3D secure payment system they use.
  • 3-D Secure should not be confused with a « card security code » which is the short numeric code that is printed on the back of the card. (Normally 3 digits)
