Will FROGBUS wait for my flight?

  • As there are up to 80 incoming/outgoing flights per day at Girona airport, it is impossible to meet all of them.  Frogbus’ mutiple daily rotations attempt to cater for the greatest flux of passengers.

 

Will FROGBUS wait for me?

  • FROGBUS is an international scheduled service, as such; it is obliged to leave at the appointed departure times. It is your responsibility to be at the bus stop 15 minutes prior to departure time. Our license obliges us to leave exactly on time (similar to legislation applying to trains and planes), any violation of our licence incurs hefty fines for our bus partners. Should your plane/connection arrive late, your ticket will be valid for the next Frogbus departure. Alternatively, we have special FROGBUS.com rates available at the 4* Salles Girona airport hotel. Simply mention FROGBUS.com when booking to receive a special discount.

What happens if FROGBUS is late?

  • We strongly advise all passengers to supply a mobile phone number at the time of booking so we can call you in the unlikely event that FROGBUS is late. We advise our passengers to aim to be at the airport at least two hours before your flight is due to depart (if you are catching a flight). 

Will my bus reach the airport on time?

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have allowed sufficient time to check in for your flight. We advise timing your arrival at the airport a minimum of 2 hours prior to your flight departure time to allow for unforseeable delays. Please be aware of the following issues which will cause occasional traffic delays.

  • Ongoing road works for the TGV tunnel between Le Boulou and the border which may cause delays.   
  • Rain on weekends during the Summer because the French/Spanish border attracts shoppers! 
  • Snow delays during the Winter.
  • Big travel weekends during the summer holiday season, including the weekend of the 11th July (offical start of French holiday season), Bastille day on the 14th July and the weekend of the 15th August 
  • FROGBUS is liable in the event of a missed flight.

What do I need for my journey?

  • The driver will have a list of passengers with the name you gave at the time of booking – you need only give your name.
  • You will need all valid ID and any other legal documents required by you for border crossing within Europe.

I have booked a taxi for Le Boulou. How do I confirm my taxi on the day of travel?

  • You will have received an email confirming your taxi booking.  On the day of travel, you will be asked to text the driver from the bus to confirm that you are on board.  This helps us to limit the amount of "no shows" and keeps costs down.
